Nora grew up in Denver, Colorado and attended Montbello High School
before going off to college all the way to Boulder where she attended
the University of Colorado and received a Bachelor of Arts. A few years
later, Nora went to the University of Denver, College of Law, as a
night student, where she received her Juris Doctor Degree. Nora became

and civil rights throughout her career.
Before July of 2005, Nora was employed as the Staff Attorney for two different AFL-CIO Unions, most recently with the Colorado Federation of Public Employees (“CFPE”) affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers (“AFT”) and previously with the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees (“AFSCME”) Council 76. During that time Nora specialized in representing employees at all levels from grievances to appeals and hearings for the State of Colorado and the City and County of Denver along with other counties/municipalities before the State Personnel Board and the Denver Career Service Authority as well as other administrative hearings.
